WBC lightweight world champion Jorge “El Niño De Oro” Linares (40-3, 27 KOs) has re-signed with Golden Boy Promotions as his United States promoter. The multi-year contract will continue to recognize Linares’ relationship with co-promoter, Akihiko Honda of Teiken Promotions, with both companies teaming up to put Linares in the biggest fights possible. “Golden Boy Promotions is an elite promoter and they have treated me well over the years, so there was no question that I was going to re-sign with them,” said Linares. “We’ve still got work to do in this sport, and I’m confident that we will achieve more great moments together in the future.”
