Robert Easter Jr. is set to fight Richard Commey for the vacant IBF World Lightweight Championship.
Both fighters have agreed to the fight and have until July 6 to reach an agreement before it goes to purse bid.
Richard Commey is hoping that the fight goes to Ghana so that he can try and win the title in front of his home fans. At a press conference in Accra Ghana, Commey stated "I'm really excited to finally get my shot at the world title." I have been waiting too long and too many fighters have avoided me, but it seems like we are finally there. I would like to thank my promoter, Team Sauerland, for helping me get this opportunity, which I will take with both hands."
"If the fight comes to Ghana, I will make the whole country proud. It would be a dream come true to fight in our national stadium."
