Mayweather rejects $5M penalty for failed drug test

Mayweather rejects $5M penalty for failed drug test

Floyd Mayweather has formally rejected Manny Pacquiao's offer of a $5 million penalty for a failed drug test before or after the big fight, according to Pacquiao's advisor Michael Koncz.
Manny Pacquiao put the offer on the table.  The offer basically stated that if either fighter failed any drug tests leading up to or after the fight, they would pay $5 million dollars.  The deal was sent to Mayweather's legal representatives, but was rejected on Thursday by Mayweather's representative, Jeremiah Reynolds.

This is all kind of ironic because Mayweather has accused Pacquiao of using performance enhancing drugs before.  He also made a big deal of Pacquiao's refusal to undergo full drug testing back in 2009.

There has been much talk of Mayweather having teamed up with Alex Ariza and Angel "Memo" Heredia.  Heredia has a long history with PED use with clients.  There has also been a lot of talk about the way Mayweather is looking these days.  This should get interesting.
