Shawn Porter had a dominating performance against a challenger who took the fight on 24 hours notice. Bone showed huge heart by taking this fight, but was severely outclassed by Shawn Porter. It was evident from the opening round that Bone was clearly out of his league. Bone landed some decent shots, but didn't have enough to keep Porter off of him.
Bone suffered a bloody nose in the second round and took some good shots. Porter did not let up from there and was the aggressor throughout the fight. Porter knocked Bone down with a body shot in round 5. Porter then ended the fight seconds later with a combination punctuated with a big right hand to the jaw. Speculation was that a slip in round 5 by Bone caused an injury. Injury or not didn't matter, this fight was going to Porter.
