Not everyone is happy about the big fight

Amir Kahn not happy about Mayweather Pacquiao

Well, not everyone is happy that the Mayweather - Pacquiao fight is taking place.  Enter Amir "King" Kahn, who has accused Floyd Mayweather of taking the easy way out by fighting Manny Pacquiao.

Amir Kahn claimed he was close to a fighting both men, prior to them signing for May 2.  "I would speak with Manny Pacquiao's team when they come to London and also Mayweather's team, we also had a dialogue going with them," explained Kahn.  I'm a boxing fan, so obviously I want to see that fight happen."

Just how close was he to getting a big fight?  "It was very close to doing the fight between Manny Pacquiao and Mayweather.  I was just in a good position because I could gone either way, either one of them I could have faced."

"He's taking an easy route, but you have to still respect Mayweather for the things he's done in his career.  Obviously it is an easier route he's taking, but this is business, boxing is a business.  He's gonna do what makes more sense for him financially," stated Kahn.

So, what's next for Amir Kahn?  Well, he has issued a challenge to the other fighter left out in the cold because of the May 2 fight - Miguel Cotto.  It would be fair to assume Kahn would be going up to middleweight to make that fight happen.  Cotto's handlers have been throwing around names like Tim Bradley and Brandon Rios.  I'm not so sure Cotto's handlers would want Kahn.  He may be a little more dangerous than what they're looking for.
