In what can only be summed up as blatant stupidity, James Kirkland has apparently dropped Ann Wolfe as his trainer for the Canelo Alvarez fight. Just to let you know what a boneheaded move this is - Kirkland is unbeaten with Ann Wolfe as his trainer. Without Ann Wolfe he is an average fighter at best.
What did Kirkland's manager have to say about his new trainer? "I'd never heard of him." Well, his manager is in good company because the rest of us haven't heard of him either.
In my opinion, Kirkland had a fringe chance of beating Canelo with Ann Wolfe in his corner. Without her, he has virtually no chance.
