Sergey Kovalev has taken to twitter to announce that he has signed the rematch agreement to face Andre Ward.
Kovalev lost a very close and controversial decision in their first fight. Kovalev was able to put Andre Ward down in the second round, but Ward really came on strong towards the end of the fight and was able to earn the decision.
Kovalev said via twitter: "A couple of days ago I signed a new memo for a rematch which was sent to me by Roc Nation. Still waiting on 'Son of Judges' to sign it."
Son of Judges refers to Ward's nickname "Son of God."
