WBA lightweight champion Anthony Crolla will take on WBC lightweight champion in recess Jorge Linares at the Manchester Arena on September 24. This will be Crolla's second defense of his of his WBA title. Jorge Linares is the WBC champion in recess. He will be putting the fictional WBC diamond belt on the line. The diamond belt is an honorary championship that is not usually meant to be defended. According to the incorruptible WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman, the winner of the fight will face another WBC lightweight champion Dejan Zlaticanin. Hope that clears things up.
