Antonio Margarita scheduled for another fight

Former welterweight titleholder Antonio Margarito (39-8, 27 KOs), 38, of Mexico, is scheduled for the second fight of his comeback. Zanfer Promotions told ESPN.com that he will face an opponent to be determined in a junior middleweight on July 16 (beIN Sports Espanol) in his hometown of Tijuana, Mexico. Margarito, despised by many for attempting to fight Shane Mosley in a 2009 welterweight title fight with hand wraps that contained elements of plaster of Paris (for which he had his license revoked), ended a more than four-year retirement with a 10-round decision win against Jorge Paez Jr. on March 5 in Mexico City. Margarito had not fought since being having his surgically repaired right eye turned into badly battered in a 10th-round knockout loss to then-junior middleweight titleholder Miguel Cotto in their hostility-filled December 2011 rematch.
