Although Top Rank promoter Bob Arum hopes to finalize a very attractive junior lightweight fight between featherweight titleholder Vasyl Lomachenko (5-1, 3 KOs), who would move up one
division, and former featherweight titleholder Nicholas Walters for the main event of a June 11 HBO-televised card from the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York, Arum said it has been slow going. The reason: He is far apart on the money with Walters (26-0-1, 21 KOs). But Arum said he is confident he would be able to work it out. Popular Puerto Rican lightweight Felix Verdejo (20-0, 14 KOs), one of boxing's elite prospects, is ticketed for the co-feature against an opponent to be determined on the eve of the annual Puerto Rican Parade in New York.
