Shawn Porter caused a big problem for Adrien Broner on Saturday because of the number of punches that he threw and landed.
Porter threw 590 total punches compared to the 309 thrown by Broner. Punches landed were 149 for Porter and a paltry 88 from Broner.
In the jab category, which should have been key against a pressure fighter like Porter, Broner landed an astonishingly bad 20 for the fight. 20. Not a misprint. 20. 20 jabs. Are you serious?? It get's better, he only threw 103 jabs. That's an average of only 8.5 per round. He only managed to land 1.6 jabs per round on average.
I know Mike Stafford is a good trainer, one of the best out there. There is no way he is happy with Broner's output in this fight.
