Roman Martinez (29-2-2, 17 KOs) won a 12 round unanimous decision over 130 pound WBO champion Orlando Salido (42-13-2, 29 KOs) on Saturday night in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The judges’ had the fight scored 114-111, 115-110 and 116-109. Martinez knocked Salido down in the 3rd and 5th rounds.
Salido started coming back in the later rounds but had a point taken away in the 11th round for a low blow.
This is Martinez second victory in a row since his loss to Mikey Garcia in 2013.
