Chavez Jr. looking ripped for his upcoming fight against Canelo

The above picture has been circulating around the internet.  It was posted any Angel "Memo" Heredia.  The picture shows Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. looking very ripped ahead of his bout in May with Canelo Alvarez.

Nacho Bernstein says that Chavez Jr. is weighing around 172 pounds.  This means he's only seven and a half pounds away from the contracted weight of 164.5.

"It's a good weight. We are working very strong. [Chavez Jr.] is weighing 78 kilos [about 172 pounds], he's eight pounds away. I do not think there should be problems [with making weight] unless he comes across a cow and eats it . He 's running an average of 10 kilometers to 4.000 meters high and is doing 200 repetitions, repetitions of speed," Beristain told reporter Hector Islas.

"Sparring is going to start Monday with six rounds daily. He is already sparring, but now he's going to do it on a daily basis starting Monday. He is being helped by Javier Ortega and a welterweight named Alejandro Barrera. I think he's putting a lot of effort in. I honestly think we have a 47% chance [of beating Canelo]. There has been a lot more determination [from Chavez]."
