Three division world champion and former Olympic gold medalist Yuriorkis Gamboa (25-1, 17 KOs) signed a multi-fight deal with Golden Boy promotions. Here is what the Golden Boy himself had to say about the former Cuban amateur standout.
"When he is on his game, there are few better than Gamboa in the 126, 130, or 135 weight classes,” said Oscar De La Hoya, Golden Boy Promotions CEO and Chairman
Gamboa is scheduled to have his first fight under Golden Boy on March 11th, against Rene Alvarado (24-7, 16 KOs). The fight will be featured on the undercard of the mega showdown between David Lemieux and Curtis Stevens.
