Orlando Salido and Francisco Vargas stopped by A Los Golpes to promote their upcoming fight on June 4. Julio Cesar Chavez would not choose a winner, but did wish both fighters luck.
“Both Vargas and Salido have proven that they are warriors and I am looking forward to their fight. I am sure is going to be great and that the fans are going to enjoy a fight of the year type war and may the best man win,” Chavez stated.
“I’m prepared to go 12 hard rounds and to give the fans the best fight possible. We’re getting close to fight night. I feel great and ready to take home another championship,” said Salido.
Vargas stated “I am facing very a very experienced former world champion in Salido and I’m well prepared to face him and keep my title on Saturday night,” stated Vargas."
This will be the first defense for Francisco Vargas.
