In a rematch, John Riel Casimero (22-3, 14 KOs) avenged his loss to previously unbeaten IBF flyweight champion Anmat Ruenroeng (17-1, 5 KOs) with a fourth round KO to claim the IBF world title on Wednesday night at the Diamond Court in Beijing, China. Casimero dropped Ruenroeng twice in round four to dramatically end it. Time was 2:10.
In an IBF minimumweight eliminator, Jose Antonio Jimenez (17-5-1, 7 KOs) won a twelve round split decision over former WBC minimumweight champion Chao Zhong Xiong (26-7-1, 14 KOs). Scores were 114-113, 114-113 Jimenez and 116-111 for Xiong.
