Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. out until 2016

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. out until 2016

Former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. will be out of action for the rest of the year.  Chavez Jr. had an operation on his left hand.  He currently has a large cast on his left arm.

Rumor has it, the earliest he could starting using it again will be three months.  Chavez Jr. hurt his hand on July 18 in a fight against Marco "Dorado" Reyes in El Paso, Texas.  The injury wasn't thought to be that serious, but a month later it was still acting up, so they decided to operate.

Hopefully he stays in shape during his recovery.  Chavez Jr. has recently said he wanted to fight the winner of Badou Jack-George Groves.
