There is expected to be a huge crowd for the Canelo Alvarez vs. James Kirkland this Saturday night on HBO.
“We’re already at 30,000 and a lot of the promotion and a lot of the marketing kicks in this week,” said Gomez. “We had a steady sales day yesterday. I don’t know where we’re at currently, but I’m expecting a huge, huge crowd. Whether it sells out or not I don’t know, it’s too early to tell, but I know there’s a lot of excitement and a lot of the promotion and marketing started yesterday," Eric Gomez told fight news.com.
Capacity in Houston's Minute Maid Park is around 41,000 seats. It'll be interesting to see if they can actually sell out the stadium.
