Weigh in Tickets for Mayweather - Pacquiao will be $10

Weigh in Tickets for Mayweather - Pacquiao will be $10
Tickets for the Floyd Mayweather-Manny Pacquiao weigh-in ahead of their May 2 fight will cost $10 each, according to ESPN.  Proceeds from the ticket sales will go to charity, Brad Jacobs, the executive event producer for Top Rank and Pacquiao's promoter, told ESPN. It is the first time in modern boxing history that tickets will be sold for a weigh-in, according to ESPN.

"What we wanted to do was avoid the craziness you've seen at the Mayweather and Pacquiao weigh-ins where you have people sleeping out in front of the arena the night before and basically camping out," Jacobs said. "We want to avoid that. We want some orderly fashion to it so people needed to have a ticket like they need to a concert or a fight, so there's no reason for a big crowd to get there the night before."

Tickets for the fight itself, which have not gone on sale yet, will cost between $1,500 and $7,500.

The highly anticipated bout is the most expensive per-per-view in boxing history. The standard definition broadcast will cost $89.95, while the high definition broadcast has a $99.95 price tag before taxes.
