Former two-division world champion “Schoolboy” Bobby Chacon, from Pacoima, California, has passed away at the age of 64. No other details are available. Chacon was the toast of Los Angeles boxing in the late 70s and early 80s, winning world titles in the featherweight and super featherweight divisions. He regularly packed Southern California boxing venues as he waged war against the likes of Ruben Olivares, Cornelius Boza-Edwards, Rafael “Bazooka” Limon, Danny “Little Red” Lopez, Chucho Castillo, Alexis Arguello and many more. He ended with a career mark of 59-7-1, 47 KOs.
