Mikey Garcia eyes Terry Flanagan after Saturday night

Mikey Garcia is set to face Elio Rojas on Saturday night.  Garcia is a heavy favorite to win that fight and he may already be looking past his opponent.

Garcia has expressed heavy interest in going over to the UK to fight lightweight champion Terry Flanagan.

"Hopefully we can get that fight, I really want that third WBO title." Garcia told boxing scene.

Terry Flanagan has never fought outside of the UK, but Garcia has no problem going to him to make the fight happen.  "I wouldn't mind going out there.  I would be ready.  To me, it's just another ring, four corners and four ropes," stated Garcia.

This may be an ambitious task by Garcia given the fact he has not fought in 2 1/2 years.  The reason for this is a contract dispute with former promoter Top Rank Inc.  Even though he will be on a PBC card, he has yet to sign with advisor Al Haymon.

"It's definitely a great fight.  He's undefeated, I'm undefeated, I'm a former world champion, he's a current champion.  He's super-talented and he has all the confidence in the world right now because he's a champion.  So I would just have to look at a few clips, a few rounds, and make the right adjustments in training camp to prepare myself.  But, I don't think I would have a problem with him.  I have plenty of experience and I've fought just about everybody else I could to prepare me for these kinds of fights," stated Garcia.
