"King Kong" Ortiz holding out for more money against Ustinov

Golden Boy Promotions and interim heavyweight titleholder Luis "King Kong" Ortiz (25-0, 22 KOs) are having issues that could threaten the company’s ability to place his mandatory bout against Alexander Ustinov (33-1, 24 KOs) on the Canelo Alvarez-Liam Smith HBO PPV undercard on Sept. 17 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. According to Golden Boy, although it has reached an agreement with Ustinov promoter Frank Warren for the fight, Ortiz’s side is seeking more money on top of what it has already agreed to.
