Chris Eubank Jr enjoyed a second round stoppage victory over Tony Jeter in Sheffield on Saturday night to defend his WBA interim middleweight title.
Eubank Jr grounded his opponent in the opening round with a big left hook, before referee Howard Foster was forced to stop the bout early in the second as Jeter took punishment on the ropes.
Following the bout, promoter Eddie Hearn confirmed the WBA had made Eubank Jr's next bout against Gary 'Spike' O'Sullivan on December 12 the final eliminator to face the victor of Peter Quillin-Daniel Jacobs.
"Credit to the fighter - he came to a foreign country and fought in front of a crowd who was against him," Eubank Jr told Sky Sports after his victory. "This was a warm-up fight. I got off some ring-rust and I'm getting ready for December 12 against a guy called Spike O'Sullivan.
"I'm ready for Spike O'Sullivan. He's been talking a lot of mess and it's time for some punishment. Please back up these words because I'm going to be going in there like an animal and I hope you're ready for it.
"Everything's been working smoothly. There's been no clash. It has been smooth in the changing room and as you guys saw, it was smooth up on there on the big stage. This is a taste of things to come."
Victory at the Sheffield Arena improved Eubank Jr's professional record to 20 victories (15 Kos) and one defeat.
