WBC has ordered Postol and Matthysse to fight for 140 pound title

WBC has ordered Postol and Matthysse to fight for 140 pound title

Last week, Danny Garcia vacated the WBC 140 pound belt.  Garcia has not defended the title since early 2014.  Garcia's last two fights were fought at catch weights and the title was not defended.  His next fight against Paulie Malignaggi, will be at welterweight.

The WBC has now ordered 31 year old Ukranian Viktor Postol (27-0, 11 KO's) and former WBC interim champion, 32 year old Argentinian Lucas Matthysse (37-3, 34 KO's), to fight for the vacant title.  It is being suggested that we will see the fight this fall.
