Riddick Bowe, Ray Mancini, Jim Lampley, and others inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame

Riddick Bowe wore his heavyweight championship belt. Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini, introduced by his two sons, gave an emotional speech. Announcer Jim Lampley was eloquent.

Bowe, Mancini and Lampley were among the 2015 class inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame on Sunday afternoon in Canastota, N.Y.

The others inducted Sunday were boxers "Prince" Naseem Hamed and Yoko Gushiken, referee Steve Smoger, agent/manager Rafael Mendoza and journalist Nigel Collins.

Hamed did not attend the ceremony because of his wife's medical issue, according to ESPN.com.

According to the Oneida Dispatch, Lampley said that "Boxing is a canvass on which an endless stream of artists paint indelible images. I get the privilege of knowing them and attempting to describe what they do."

Jake Lamotta, who turns 94 next month, was among many Hall of Famers in attendance.

The day started with a parade in downtown Canastota. Jon Seda, an actor in the prime-time drama "Chicago P.D.," was the grand marshal.
