WBA Super World featherweight champion Nicholas Walters (25-0, 21 KOs) will fight Vasyl Lomanchenko in his next fight if he beats undefeated Miguel Marriaga (20-0, 18 KOs) this Saturday on HBO. This is according to Bob Arum of Top Rank.
“I asked Arum about Walters-Lomachenko if Walters wins Sat & if so, when: “Next! Next! Next! No marination.” Looking at Nov. @CarlMoretti,” Dan Rafael said on his Twitter.
Nicholas “The Axeman” Walters was just made the WBA “Super” Champion. He has a stiff test in front of him on Saturday with the unbeaten Miguel Marriaga, who apparently beat him in the amateurs - a loss that Walters has definitely not forgotten.
A fight between Lomenchenko and Walters would definitely be a marquee fight in the featherweight division.
