Mayweather fighting Berto or Mayfield next. Seriously??

Ok, I'm the first one to tell you that I thought he was just kidding when he offered to fight Andre Berto or Karim Mayfield.  No offense to those two fighters, but they are not PPV caliber fighters.  Mayweather seems to be pretty steadfast that he is fighting one of those two fighters.

However, Floyd Mayweather is insisting that it's not a joke.  Berto or Mayfield will get the next shot at Floyd Mayweather.  Mayweather has told everyone, including Dan Rafael, that he is fighting one of those two fighters next.

"Either Karim Mayfield or Andre Berto, that's who Floyd Mayweather will be facing in September," Mayweather continued. "I mean, every fighter, you know.  One of those guys could upset Floyd Mayweather, you never know.  It's the Mayweather sweepstakes: Who's gonna hit the lottery?  It all depends on how I feel."

Berto is three and six in his last six fighters.  Mayfield lost twice last year.  When asked if Mayweather was serious, he responded "When Pacquiao chose the last guy before me, did you say that about him?"  The talk, of course, was about Chris Algieri.  Algieri had just come off a title winning performance against Ruslan Providnikov.  A far cry from 3-6 Berto.  Not too mention, a lot of people thought that Algieri beat Amir Khan in his last time out.

If Floyd Mayweather wants to know why he'll never get his respect for being unbeaten, he needs to look no further than things like this.
