Eddie Hearn and his promotional company Matchroom Sports have offered Carl Frampton 2.2 million dollars to fight Scott Quigg in Manchester this summer.
Scott Quigg told SkySports “There’s two super fights in Britain at the minute, Kell Brook versus Amir Khan and Scott Quigg versus Carl Frampton. One of them needs to happen and I do believe me and Carl Frampton will happen.”
Carl Framptons promoter, Barry McGuigan with Cyclone Promotions, was surprised by the offer. Apparently, McGuigan wants to do a co-promotion with Matchroom Sports to promote the event. So, the offer came as a surprise. The good news is that it sounds like both sides want the fight and it should take place this summer.
