Beterbiev's promoter, Yvon Michel, has confirmed that Beterbiev has "major interest" in participating in the 2016 Olympics in Rio. Beterbiev is coming off a fourth round KO over an overmatched Ezequiel Madera on Saturday. Beterbiev also tweeted out the following message:
