Adrien Broner will fight Shawn Porter on June 20 for the battle of Ohio -- that will take place in Las Vegas. This fight will take place at a catch weight of 144 pounds, but there is more to it than that because there is a mandatory second day weigh in.
"The weight limit is 144 pounds plus a pound, give or take," Kenny Porter told reporter Steve Kim.
"They're trying to bring us down to try to hurt us and they asked for a second day weight in. The day of the fight we have to weigh in, again."
Neither fight can weight more than 155 pounds on the morning of the fight. This is the first time I can remember this being done for a fight - especially when the two are so close in weight.
