Brandon Rios trying to get Timothy Bradley in the ring
Brandon Rios (33-2-1, 24 KO's) is trying to make a fight with Timothy Bradley (31-1-1, 12 KO's) happen on June 13th. The bout would be televised on HBO.
Robert Garcia, Rios' trainer, said the boxer has already asked his manager Cameron Dunkin to arrange the fight with Bradley.
"Brandon asked Cameron Dunkin to get him the opportunity to fight on June 13 with Timothy Bradley, because that is the date that they are saying Bradley will return," Garcia told ESPN Deportes.
"They seem to have other names already on the table for Bradley, but Brandon does not want to be kept out of the big fights, and Brook said no, and now Bradley is available. He wants to see if it can be done."
This is a good fight, but I'm not so sure it's gonna happen. Tim Bradley can fight Shawn Porter to get a mandatory shot at Kell Brook, for the IBF welterweight championship, later this year. It would be likely that Bradley would take that option over fighting Rios.
